Mujir is Chairman and Co-Founder at Abrahams LLP, where he oversees and provides strategic advice on many of the most complex transactional, commercial and regulatory matters within the firm. Having been on both the legal side, as corporate & securities law counsel, and industry side, as a C-level public company executive, Mujir is uniquely positioned to offer clients the strategic and tactical insight they need as they look to scale, go public, invest or exit.


Mujir’s career has seen him both recognized as a “Top 40 Under 40” professional (by Top 100 Magazine) as well as appointed to the Boards of public technology companies such as Facedrive Inc. (TSXV: FD), where he is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, and Fintech Select Ltd. (TSXV: FTEC), where he is Chairman of the Board.


Mujir has represented clients on everything from going-public transactions (i.e. initial public offerings, reverse takeovers, qualifying transactions), governance and compliance matters (on-going disclosure and dealing with securities commissions and stock exchanges) to venture capital financings and public company mergers & acquisitions. He has also routinely led the set-up of private equity, real estate and mortgage investment entities (including limited partnerships and mortgage investment corporations).


Sample Representative Work:
• Acted for PT Health Solutions Inc. (one of Canada’s largest physiotherapy chains) in its plan of arrangement M&A transaction with Quindell Plc (QPP.L) and its wholly-owned Canadian subsidiary.
• Acted for Waterloo Heights Properties Ltd. in its successful insider (takeover) bid for BW Park Place, a publicly-distributed limited partnership in the real estate space.
• Co-advised Brant Securities Inc. in its sponsorship of Look Communication Inc.’s change-of-business acquisition of Sunwave Gas & Power Inc. (resulting in OneEnergy Inc. – TSXV: LOK).
• Acted for iMedical Innovations Inc. in its joint venture with CardioComm Solutions, Inc. (TSX-V: EKG) and its subsequent series “A” and later venture financings.
• Advised a publicly-distributed entity in connection with a going-private transaction.
• Acted for a foreign entity in acquiring the Canadian assets (in the financial services technology space) of a London Stock Exchange listed issuer.
• Advised underwriters in connection with the sponsorship (for listing on the TSX-V) of an offshore hospitality & services company with operations in multiple jurisdictions.
• Advised a US OTC issuer in its acquisition of a technology developer with international operations.
• Lead counsel for Middle-Eastern based family office in connection with purchase of, and subsequent commitment to fund, $1.5B infrastructure and entertainment project in Southern Ontario.


Academic Background:
Mujir is a graduate of Queen’s University, where he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) and a Masters (LL.M.) in Corporate Law & Securities along with a number of academic awards.


Mujir is a general fan of sports, with a particular passion for football and basketball.
